The artwork returns to the referendum result itself: Leave 51.9% and Remain 48.1%, with 17,410,742 votes for Leave and 16,141,241 for Remain. Against renewed political debate about closer UK-EU relations, the design asks a deliberately simple question: whatever somebody’s view of Brexit today, what does respecting the public require when governments, circumstances and public opinion can change?
