A bold Finch Files statement T-shirt asking IS IT FAR-RIGHT TO FEEL LIKE A MUSHROOM? — using dark political satire to explore how much the public is told when a serious national-security investigation is unfolding.

The artwork takes the familiar expression of being treated like a mushroom — kept in the dark — and applies it to the events surrounding RAF Fairford. Five men were arrested during a counter-terrorism investigation and subsequently released on police bail while enquiries continued. Against the backdrop of an active investigation and the inevitable limits on information being released, the design asks: when a major security incident happens on British soil, how much should the public expect to be told, and how quickly?

Care
