A satirical Finch Files statement mug asking HOPE AGAIN? — inspired by the central message running through this week’s Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, where delegates have been surrounded by the optimistic call to “Hope Again.”

Prime Minister Andy Burnham used his first Labour conference speech as Prime Minister and party leader to argue that Britain could rediscover hope, calling for the country to move beyond what he described as a decade of division and saying Britain should believe — and hope — again. His speech set out proposals spanning social care, Britain's relationship with Europe, electoral reform, housing, energy and the cost of living.

The Finch Files puts its own question mark after the conference message: HOPE AGAIN? The design transforms the political slogan into a dark, apocalyptic space-opera parody, with familiar political caricatures cast as a decidedly dysfunctional ensemble against a Britain apparently facing rather more than an intergalactic disturbance.
